Putney Detached Property
A second commission by private clients to renovate a 6 bedroom house on 4 floors. The objective to remodel the interior within the present footprint.
Whilst the property had been maintained to a good standard, the interior required a refit throughout and the chimney stacks had suffered from weather conditions over the years.
Following the preparation of a priced schedule of works and resultant negotiations, we were commissioned to commence works.
The chimney stacks were in a poor condition requiring careful demolition and reconstruction with lead dpcs.
Repairs to roof tiles and leadwork followed with an overhaul to the pitched and flat roofs. Below the front elevation required cleaning and brickwork repointed with lime mortar. Internally the kitchen was remodelled to provide a family room and kitchen – walls removed with steel beam insertions to provide a new layout of accommodation and family room.
Bathrooms throughout were refitted with a new pressurised plumbing and heating system together with under floor heating to the kitchen.
The interior finishes were stripped and replaced with new wall and floor tiles, joinery to the interior and exterior was repaired and overhauled with new replacements. Decoration followed throughout.
The new layout provided bright and spacious accommodation accentuating the delightful period nature of the hall and stairs.
